On January 28th, Dempsey recognized workers from Allied Services in Scranton for their hard work. Employees from Allied's Vocational division have recycled eight million hangers from Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply over the past three years. "We employ several hundred challenged individuals and to give them this opportunity, it's tremendous for Allied, it's great for the environment, it's good for the community, and it really shows waht employers can do when they work together," said Allied Services President Bill Canaboy.

Dempsey presented the Allied employees with a "Golden Hanger" to mark the milestone and their mascot, the Y-Guy™, visited with the workers.
