Dempsey Highlighted for Bringing New Jobs

In a January 2016 article, The Scranton Times-Tribune recognized Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply for bringing 30 new jobs to the area due to a $10 million expansion. Although some of the investment went into the building infrastructure, much of it funded highly advanced, automated machinery needed to process the linens, uniforms, towels, and mats rented to businesses throughout Dempsey’s expanding geographic footprint.

The new machinery will not replace workers; instead, it will make their jobs more pleasant and increase product quality. For example, one new machine engages an electronic eye to identify and reject linens with stains or tears.
