Invoices from other restaurant linen suppliers can be frustrating. They may not even tell you how many linens you’re using.

At Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply, we harness technologies, like our VacuTrack™, CustomerPortal, and SilverSaver™ systems, to provide you with knowledge and insight via an online Customer Portal. This proprietary interface enables you to view and adjust your orders to control the total cost. In Vernon, New Jersey, Foodie Options Range from Comfort Dishes in Local Haunts to Exquisite, Resort-style, Fine Dining

Vernon was established in 1793, and the name is generally believed to be an homage to then-President George Washington’s homestead in Mount Vernon, Virginia. Its boundaries, comprised of 70 square miles, haven’t changed since. There are 27 unincorporated communities, localities, and place names located within or partially within the township, including a dozen named for lakes.

Vernon’s greatest asset is its natural, rural setting. Located in the northernmost county in New Jersey, Sussex, it’s home to some of the state’s highest mountains. Geographically, as the Kittatinny Mountain chain follows the northwest border of the township, it’s considered part of the Kittatinny Valley. Kittatinny is a pronunciation of a Lenape Native American word meaning “great mountain.” Early farming and iron-mining enterprises in the township have yielded to today’s skiing, tourism, and residential draws.

The combination of mountains and proximity to the New York metro enables major resorts to thrive as part of a well-developed tourism business. Attractions include skiing, zipline rides that showcase the the beautiful panoramas of the area, a popular water park, golf courses, and a spa and wellness center. The TreEscape Aerial Adventure Park is a unique outdoor attraction comprised of a series of platforms secured high in the trees, connected by rope bridges and rope swings. Visitors engage with the environment for an stimulating, immersive “nature experience.”

One of the older ski resorts, Hidden Valley has evolved into the National Winter Activity Center, an organization that uses engagement in winter sports to improve the lives, health, and fitness of kids between the ages of 6 and 17. In addition to providing ski/snowboarding lessons, the Center partners with other community organizations to ensure participants enjoy access to nourishing meals and education that can help them lead a healthy lifestyle.

The restaurant scene is Vernon is diverse. For those who enjoy sumptuous spreads and fancier table settings, the resorts have plenty of meal options. In addition, there are plenty of charming local spots that ply their guests with perfectly brewed coffee and chai, homemade pancakes, and delicious baked goods. The Vernon Nordic House is a favorite of note, offering Norwegian coffee and Scandinavian baked goods, made with flour milled on the premises by founders Lars and Sven and their associates. They describe it as “a place where old Norse culture is enjoyed and shared.” Various Scandinavian treats, including cheeses, chocolates, and sweets are also made from scratch and are available for purchase. Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply is proud to partner with restaurants, bars, diners, and a host of other eateries in Vernon Township and throughout Sussex County.
