Choose Dempsey and enjoy three unique benefits:

Highest Laundry Certification

Do you know who, if anyone, inspects your current laundry supplier to evaluate and ensure sanitary conditions?

At Dempsey, to support your infection control program, we’ve committed to the highest level of certification, Hygienically Clean Healthcare Certification by TRSA™. It’s the only laundry program that requires third-party bacteriological testing of linen cleanliness. We earn continued certification through quarterly testing of our products and processes, providing Dempsey customers with proof of compliance and peace of mind.

Highest Quality Products

We know your nursing staff gets frustrated when they waste valuable time searching for clean linens or, even worse, when a patient finds a stained gown first.

At Dempsey, we leverage technology, like our ProductPlus™ program, to provide quality products that improve your patient experience. We start with well-known Medline scrubs, gowns and sheets, process them with the most advanced laundry equipment, and inspect them with the most tenured team in the business. Each package of linen will be clean and usable, saving you time and money.

We know linen invoices can be confusing. After all, how can you control the cost when you don’t even know how many linens you are using?

At Dempsey, we leverage technologies, like our VacuTrack™ and CustomerPortal systems, to provide transparent billing that helps you reduce your linen supply cost per case. We accurately track the soiled linens you turn in - and let you view those numbers in your online Customer Portal - then, we only bill you based on your usage.

Middletown’s Central Location makes it an Excellent Hub for Regional Medical and Health Care Services

Middletown is a small city in New York’s Orange County. Situated in the forested foothills of the Shawangunk Mountains of the Hudson Valley, the area was first settled in 1744. It was named Middletown because of its location between other settlements, a convenient stopping place along the various routes.

Railroads enabled Middletown to industrialize early, but more recent declines in manufacturing have spurred a transition to a service and retail-based economy. Today, health care services are a major employer in the region. The city is surrounded by the Town of Wallkill, except for its southern section, which adjoins the Town of Wawayanda. Other nearby hamlets include Crystal Run, Fair Oaks, Howells, Mechanicstown, Michigan Corners, Phillipsburg, Pilgrim Corners, Rockville, Scotchtown, Washington Heights, and the village of Van Burenville. Many of these municipalities look to Middletown for medical services. Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply serves a wide variety of medical and health care practitioners in the region, including Prosthetic and Orthotic Associates, Hudson Valley Medical, and the Massage Clinic.

Orange Regional Medical Center, located in the Town of Wallkill, is a major employer in the area. Created in 2011, the Medical Center was conceived as a solution to the problem of delivering modern medical services to a smaller community. The answer involved merging two small hospitals in Middletown into one combined facility: the Arden Hill Hospital and Horton Medical Center. This merger allowed the new entity to build a new hospital, the first new hospital constructed in New York State in more than twenty years, and to reinvent itself as a center for modern medicine. The facility boasts more than 2,400 staff medical professionals, including more than 600 doctors who work for or through the hospital.

The Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine has since taken advantage of the vacated Horton Hospital, opening its Middletown Campus there in 2014. It is a relatively new American osteopathic medical school, having opened in 2007 and graduated its first class in 2011. At the time, Touro College of Osteopathic was the first medical school to open in New York State in nearly 30 years. The main campus is located in central Harlem, in New York City, and the Middletown campus is its only branch. It is the first osteopathic medical school with a special emphasis on training minority doctors, and identifying and recruiting students willing to make a commitment to practice in underserved communities.
