OUR RESTAURANT LINEN SYSTEM
Choose Dempsey and enjoy three unique benefits:
Highest Quality Products
We know it can be frustrating for employees to search for linens without stains or, even worse, for a guest to find a stained napkin first.
At Dempsey, we leverage technology, like our ProductPlus™ system, to provide quality products that improve your guest experience. We start with well-known Milliken® table linens and process them using the most advanced laundering equipment. Careful inspection by the most tenured team in the business ensures that each package of linen will be clean and usable, saving you time and money.
Most Reliable Deliveries
We understand that linen shortages can really slow your restaurant down, frustrating employees and affecting your restaurant’s image.
To increase your restaurant’s efficiency, we leverage technologies, like our VacuTrack™ and MobileLink™ systems, to make complete deliveries on your scheduled delivery day. We accurately track the soiled linens you turn in, maintain deep inventories of the products you use, and route our trucks with GPS precision to make sure your delivery is on schedule.
Lowest Total Cost
Invoices from other restaurant linen suppliers can be frustrating. They may not even tell you how many linens you’re using.
At Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply, we harness technologies, like our VacuTrack™, CustomerPortal, and SilverSaver™ systems, to provide you with knowledge and insight via an online Customer Portal. This proprietary interface enables you to view and adjust your orders to control the total cost. We only bill you based on usage, plus, when employees leave flatware in your soil bags, we collect and return it to you at no additional cost.

Scranton, Pennsylvania, is the sixth largest of the state’s cities, after Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Allentown, Erie, and Reading. Thoughout history, it’s been known for iron and steel making, coal mining, and railroading. When laborers in those industries decided to organize into some of America’s first labor unions, Scranton was the epicenter of that movement.
From 1892 to 1954, Ellis Island welcomed immigrants of many nationalities: Welsh, Irish, Italian, and southern and eastern Europeans. About the only thing these ethnically diverse groups had in common was their Catholicism. This was markedly different from the area’s earlier settlers, a fairly homogenous population of Protestants. The division between the two groups was clearly reflected in social status, with wealthy Protestant coal barons thriving at the top of the proverbial ladder, and poor Catholic laborers struggling at the bottom.
Ethnic traditions not only survive, but thrive in Scranton. The annual Saint Patrick’s Parade, held one Saturday prior to the 17th of March, attracts bagpipe and drum corps from across the region to what has become the fourth largest such parade in the United States – second by per-capita measures. Scranton’s parade acts as a “dress rehearsal” for big city bagpipe and drum corps based in nearby Binghamton, Philadelphia, and New York. Organizers claim the parade is the longest, consecutively held parade of its kind of America. At Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply, marching in the parade is just one of the many ways in which we show our pride, support our community, and engage with our customers and their patrons. In the Scranton region, we provide linens, uniform rentals, and facility supplies to a wide variety of hospitality and dining establishments, including Posh at the Scranton Club, Stirna’s Restaurant, and Kelly’s Pub and Eatery.
Highly popular with their respective ethnic groups are festivals that pop up all summer long, celebrating Polish, Greek, German, Italian, and a host of other nationalities. In a fundraising effort, Orthodox churches and local Synagogues make delicious, traditional foodstuffs and sell them at annual fairs, carnivals, picnics, and other gatherings. Scrantonians in the know mark the dates on their calendars with great anticipation, relishing the chance to enjoy homemade pierogi, kiełbasa, zrazy, sour cucumber soup, souvlaki, gyros, spanakopita, bratwurst, kuchen, dumplings, gnocchi, calzones, pasta, and fried eggplant.
The restaurant scene also reflects and embraces the city’s ethnicity, with great Irish pubs peppering the neighborhoods in and around Scranton. One adjacent municipality, about 3.5 miles from Scranton, is Old Forge, best known for its number of authentic Italian restaurants. It even boasts its own style of pizza – rectangular, baked on an aromatic, bready crust, featuring an onion-laden sauce, and topped with a creative cheese blend. Old Forge even calls itself “The Pizza Capital of the World,” a place where a “pie” is known as a “tray” and a “slice” is called a “cut.”
