Co-Founder Patrick J. Dempsey Celebrates 80 Years

Co-founder and Chairman of the Board Pat Dempsey celebrated his 80th birthday in December 2013. To celebrate this milestone, his son President PJ Dempsey and daughter, Vice President Kristin Dempsey, presented him with a refurbished model of a 1960 International Metro Mite. That was the model that Pat and his brother, co-founder Dick Dempsey, chose for their "founding fleet" of just three trucks in 1960.

The truck was presented to Pat in the Jessup plant in the presence of the production team. Hundreds of employees across the company signed giant cards from each location that were presented to him on his birthday with the truck.
